Narrative:

After pushback and before taxi; with the push crew already released; we received our final weights. The ACARS messages notified us that we had dangerous goods on board; but we hadn't received the required dangerous goods form from ramp. We called operations and took the information over the radio (one 10 pounds aogrmp life vest in pit 5 going to ZZZ1). I decided that was good enough and taxied for takeoff without the actual document.
