Narrative:

I had just made a normal landing on runway 10. I was just a bit fast to make the first turn off from runway 10; so I continued to taxi slowly to the next turnoff. At a slow taxi speed; fairly close to the next turnoff taxiway; the left main gear collapsed. I skidded to a gentle stop; set the brakes; radioed on unicom that my plane was disabled on runway 10 and I shut down the plane. I was aware of no personal injury to me nor to my passenger. I was aware of no damage to the plane except some paint scraped off of the bottom of the left float keel. I was aware of no damage to the runway. I saw what appeared to be a faint scrape line where my left float had dragged the runway. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the cause of the landing gear failure has not been resolved as the airplane has not been jacked and tested. No damage was incurred as only a paint scrape on the left keel was noted. Supplemental information from acn 711457: after landing at airport on rollout getting ready to exit runway; left main landing gear retracted. XA35 pm sep/wed/06 runway 10. I was in the right seat (no PF). Callback conversation with reporter from acn 711457 revealed the following information: the aircraft had no damage but the failure of the left landing gear has to this date not been investigated and the cause of failure is unknown.
