Narrative:

A fuel truck proceeding northbound on the vehicle lane did not yield to us as we approached spot eastbound to gate with ramp control clearance. I brought the aircraft to an abrupt stop to avoid impact with the truck when it was obvious that he was running through in front of us. I contacted ground control and tower directed an airport operations car to pursue the individual. The driver admitted he never saw our aircraft at all even though the taxi and landing lights were both on. Counsel this individual and monitor his driving habits and record on the airport.
