Narrative:

Outside civet intersection; we were cleared for civet arrival and runway 25R ILS. We put runway 25R in the FMC; but the FMS lost the arrival. I notified ATC of the problem; and we were given vectors to a fix on the ILS and track the localizer. ATC was very helpful and everything was normal after that. We were able to get the ILS entered on the FMC after we were on the ILS.

Title: B737-300 FLT CREW EXPERIENCES FMS MALFUNCTION OVER CIVET INTXN ON CIVET STAR.

Narrative: OUTSIDE CIVET INTXN; WE WERE CLRED FOR CIVET ARR AND RWY 25R ILS. WE PUT RWY 25R IN THE FMC; BUT THE FMS LOST THE ARR. I NOTIFIED ATC OF THE PROB; AND WE WERE GIVEN VECTORS TO A FIX ON THE ILS AND TRACK THE LOCALIZER. ATC WAS VERY HELPFUL AND EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL AFTER THAT. WE WERE ABLE TO GET THE ILS ENTERED ON THE FMC AFTER WE WERE ON THE ILS.
