Narrative:

Performed oil service for aircraft X on aug/xa/06. A check aircraft OTS for potable water contamination and did not fly until aug/xb/06. Was informed by my supervisor on aug/xc/06 aircraft had left engine oil loss causing air-interrupt -- upon aircraft return; oil cap found off. Company instituted maintenance investigation and action. Aircraft OTS and worked on by other shifts prior to flight. Oils are normally checked by fueling at gate.
