Narrative:

While on VFR approach to ane I tried to contact minneapolis approach. Because of congestion; no response was given. I then contacted ane tower and requested a full stop landing. I was cleared to final on runway 18. At 10 NM north of the airport; I set up on final and called for landing clearance and was given it. At 7.5 NM out on final for runway 18 at ane; I was told of traffic on the GPS approach to runway 18. At the same time; I noticed the traffic (a beech baron) to my right about 1000 ft and above by about 100 ft. The high wing of my aircraft prevented me from seeing the other aircraft till this point. The other aircraft and I were converging on bout the same heading. I took evasive action to the left (east) and slowed and landed behind the other aircraft.
