Narrative:

Became distraction in pre-landing checklist with instructions to remain 3000 ft till base leg and approval to land long. Realized gear was not extended when approaching flare -- increased power and continued flight down runway. However; not before propellers struck runway. My second check for gear down was late and distraction of landing long. Prevention: tower when clearing for landing to ask for gear check.

Narrative: BECAME DISTR IN PRE-LNDG CHKLIST WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO REMAIN 3000 FT TILL BASE LEG AND APPROVAL TO LAND LONG.
