Narrative:

Departed lga understanding we were flying the lga 9 whitestone climb; which we had briefed. Taxi time was approximately 1 hour. After takeoff at lga 2.5 DME turn point; first officer directed me to turn right to 340 degrees. I questioned that; but he again stated that we had to turn right to 340 degrees. In a moment of confusion in a complicated departure; I turned right and a few moments later were asked by departure what heading we were turning to. He gave us a heading of 360 degrees and later asked what climb we were given. We admitted it was the whitestone climb and had in the heat of the moment followed the maspeth climb. Perhaps in part it was because; at a quick glance the depiction on the departure page shows the maspeth turn as more prominent. In the confusion; I forgot to call for flaps up and the after takeoff checklist and had exceeded the flaps 1 degree speed by approximately 4 KTS before catching the error. Flight then proceeded without further incident.

Title: B757 CREW DEPARTING LGA FLIES WRONG SID TRANSITION AND OVERSPDS FLAPS.

Narrative: DEPARTED LGA UNDERSTANDING WE WERE FLYING THE LGA 9 WHITESTONE CLB; WHICH WE HAD BRIEFED. TAXI TIME WAS APPROX 1 HR. AFTER TKOF AT LGA 2.5 DME TURN POINT; FO DIRECTED ME TO TURN R TO 340 DEGS. I QUESTIONED THAT; BUT HE AGAIN STATED THAT WE HAD TO TURN R TO 340 DEGS. IN A MOMENT OF CONFUSION IN A COMPLICATED DEP; I TURNED R AND A FEW MOMENTS LATER WERE ASKED BY DEP WHAT HDG WE WERE TURNING TO. HE GAVE US A HDG OF 360 DEGS AND LATER ASKED WHAT CLB WE WERE GIVEN. WE ADMITTED IT WAS THE WHITESTONE CLB AND HAD IN THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT FOLLOWED THE MASPETH CLB. PERHAPS IN PART IT WAS BECAUSE; AT A QUICK GLANCE THE DEPICTION ON THE DEP PAGE SHOWS THE MASPETH TURN AS MORE PROMINENT. IN THE CONFUSION; I FORGOT TO CALL FOR FLAPS UP AND THE AFTER TKOF CHKLIST AND HAD EXCEEDED THE FLAPS 1 DEG SPD BY APPROX 4 KTS BEFORE CATCHING THE ERROR. FLT THEN PROCEEDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
