Narrative:

I was working the west departure sector. I had an LR45 on departure and climbed to 10000 ft. I delayed the turn west for traffic off his left. I then noticed the arrival controller had an HS25 arriving from the northeast. I turned the LR45 left to a 280 degree heading. I believe that I had course divergence prior to losing the vertical and horizontal. However; with the FAA taking on a punitive stance toward errors; I hesitate to say this may be an error. After some consideration; I am filing this report; hopefully it is not needed. I plan to retire soon and truthfully that is all I want; is to make it to then. I fear management will take severe action against me; suspension or worse. That is why I hesitate.
