Narrative:

Pushed from the gate 1 hour and 34 mins late due to air conditioning maintenance delay. I was anxious to get the flight under way and to help make up for lost time. A bleeds off takeoff procedure was required but in my hurry to get the flight back on schedule; I failed to configure the pressurization panel for a bleeds off takeoff. To compound matters; the captain shut the APU down on taxi out. I noticed these errors as we were cleared for takeoff so we elected to complete a bleeds off takeoff without the APU. We received an 'automatic fail' light after liftoff so we completed the automatic fail QRH and continued the flight with no problems. Upon landing; maintenance checked the system; signed off the logbook with no complications; and the aircraft remained in service. I allowed myself to become rushed; and even though I've said it to myself before; I plan to prevent this from happening in the foreseeable future. Good intentions and hurrying cause more problems than they solve. Eventually I'll probably learn this simple fact. Company crews are by nature wired to get the job done as quickly as possible; if not sooner. I plan to kick myself in the hindquarters every time I get an urge to push things in the interest of speed.

Title: A B737-300 FLT CREW FAILED TO SET UP THE ACFT FOR THE REQUIRED BLEEDS-OFF TKOF AND NOTICED THE ERROR AT START OF TKOF ROLL. THEY TURNED OFF THE BLEEDS AND TOOK OFF WITH NO PRESSURIZATION.

Narrative: PUSHED FROM THE GATE 1 HR AND 34 MINS LATE DUE TO AIR CONDITIONING MAINT DELAY. I WAS ANXIOUS TO GET THE FLT UNDER WAY AND TO HELP MAKE UP FOR LOST TIME. A BLEEDS OFF TKOF PROC WAS REQUIRED BUT IN MY HURRY TO GET THE FLT BACK ON SCHEDULE; I FAILED TO CONFIGURE THE PRESSURIZATION PANEL FOR A BLEEDS OFF TKOF. TO COMPOUND MATTERS; THE CAPT SHUT THE APU DOWN ON TAXI OUT. I NOTICED THESE ERRORS AS WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF SO WE ELECTED TO COMPLETE A BLEEDS OFF TKOF WITHOUT THE APU. WE RECEIVED AN 'AUTO FAIL' LIGHT AFTER LIFTOFF SO WE COMPLETED THE AUTO FAIL QRH AND CONTINUED THE FLT WITH NO PROBS. UPON LNDG; MAINT CHKED THE SYS; SIGNED OFF THE LOGBOOK WITH NO COMPLICATIONS; AND THE ACFT REMAINED IN SVC. I ALLOWED MYSELF TO BECOME RUSHED; AND EVEN THOUGH I'VE SAID IT TO MYSELF BEFORE; I PLAN TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING IN THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. GOOD INTENTIONS AND HURRYING CAUSE MORE PROBS THAN THEY SOLVE. EVENTUALLY I'LL PROBABLY LEARN THIS SIMPLE FACT. COMPANY CREWS ARE BY NATURE WIRED TO GET THE JOB DONE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE; IF NOT SOONER. I PLAN TO KICK MYSELF IN THE HINDQUARTERS EVERY TIME I GET AN URGE TO PUSH THINGS IN THE INTEREST OF SPD.
