Narrative:

Air carrier exiting runway 30L was instructed to taxi straight ahead to the gate. As air carrier X crossed taxiway 30R at taxiway K; the pilot stated if runway 30R is going to be used as a taxiway; the hold short lines should be obliterated. I advised the pilot we have made that request and the response was that 'the minimum requirements were met' and nothing else would be done. The pilot stated we could give their phone number to call. The controllers at sjc continuously receive comments like these. It seems like an easy fix to obliterate runway markings as all markings on the actual runway were removed. It would alleviate the confusion of pilots reading back to 'back taxi on runway 30R' as well.
