Narrative:
On training flight in new 182T (garmin G1000) from syi to jwn. Crew was working on new G1000 and penetrated class C airspace by about 2 miles. No conflict noted on tis. Problem is too much time spent trying to program and work autoplt and failed to watch airspace. Must fly plane first -- danger in learning new glass cockpit systems.
