Narrative:

Flying pilot missed 1500 ft level off as prescribed by teb 5 departure; by the time I caught it and got first officer to go back to 1500 ft; we had reached 1800 ft. No comment was made by departure control and no TCAS alert was noted. I need to watch closer as to catch such a deviation sooner. I was relaxed as he had briefed the departure.
