Narrative:

Fire indication fault on #2 engine. No ECAM; warning bell or engine indications (normal N1; N2 and egt) related to an actual fire light. Jumpseating pilot did a visual inspection of the engine and saw nothing unusual. Declared emergency as a precaution and requested ground support to inspect the aircraft upon landing. Completed all normal checklists and informed cabin crew and passenger of what was going on. Landed on runway 27L and taxied clear. Shut down the #2 engine and crash fire rescue equipment inspected and cleared the aircraft to taxi to the gate.
