Narrative:
While en route to gillespie field (see) from a cruising altitude of 5500 ft; I needed to be below 4800 ft for clearance from san diego class B airspace by ramona airport. So I lowered altitude down to 4500 ft. When I got over ramona I set my radios for gillespie and tuned in to the ATIS. That's when I found out about the tfr for ramona. By that time I had already passed the airport. In the future I will call FSS; ask the tower and ground control for any tfr's in southern california.
