Narrative:

I was on a missed approach to teb. I was told by tower to climb immediately and contact approach. When I did; approach told me to descend to 1500 ft. When the tower told me to climb immediately; I thought that there must be other aircraft in my flight path. So I went above the 1500 ft missed approach instructions. After landing I was told that when I climbed to 2000 ft; I set off a TCAS of another plane; forcing them to climb.
