Narrative:

During preflight inspection; safety video cued tested and was operating. However; audio was not audible during safety demonstration for passenger. When I advised the crew to prepare for a live demonstration; the cockpit announced for the flight attendants to prepare for takeoff. After takeoff; I attempted to show the safety video again and still no audio over the PA but the tape was playing. An announcement was made for passenger to look over the safety information card located in their seat pocket and to ask flight attendants if they had any safety questions or concerns.
