Narrative:

While accomplishing maintenance procedure manual procedure; verification of closed aft cargo door; I discovered this MEL placard was improperly issued; it could not be accomplished as issued. The issuance was under the understanding that the cockpit close indication was inoperative; when in reality the ground close light was inoperative; which is placardable per the general procedure manual; non-airworthy item. I corrected the paperwork after a 15 min delay. I properly alerted my superiors to the problem. I contacted technical services and redid the paperwork. My only understanding is the problem was not addressed correctly.
