Narrative:

One of the EMB145 planners brought to my attention that a special request was not complied with last night. She told me the request needed to be extended because it ran out of time; this being a non-issue until I read what the special request stated. It stated to remove and replace the tertiary lock on the right hand thrust reverser due to it being due discard at 13100 flight cycles. This caught my attention to investigate as we rarely receive special request to remove a time controlled item that is tracked in the computer. Well; upon further investigation by speaking to the originator of this request; she informs me that this part's due time was 'manipulated in jan 2001' in computer system; changing the due time. The emb service manual states the due time of this part is every 13100 flight cycles and currently has 14735 flight cycles. This part is a life limited part. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the records department entered the wrong data on the reverser lock flight cycles life limit and when discovered issued a work order for replacement. The reporter works as a maintenance planner and is held responsible for monitoring required time limited maintenance items to ensure they are replaced before flight cycles expire.

Title: A EMB145 RIGHT ENGINE THRUST REVERSER LOCKS OVERFLEW THE LIFE LIMITED CYCLES FOR MANDATORY REPLACEMENT.

Narrative: ONE OF THE EMB145 PLANNERS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT A SPECIAL REQUEST WAS NOT COMPLIED WITH LAST NIGHT. SHE TOLD ME THE REQUEST NEEDED TO BE EXTENDED BECAUSE IT RAN OUT OF TIME; THIS BEING A NON-ISSUE UNTIL I READ WHAT THE SPECIAL REQUEST STATED. IT STATED TO REMOVE AND REPLACE THE TERTIARY LOCK ON THE RIGHT HAND THRUST REVERSER DUE TO IT BEING DUE DISCARD AT 13100 FLT CYCLES. THE EMB SERVICE MANUAL STATES THE DUE TIME OF THIS PART IS EVERY 13100 FLT CYCLES AND CURRENTLY HAS 14735 FLT CYCLES. THIS PART IS A LIFE LIMITED PART. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE REPORTER STATED THE RECORDS DEPARTMENT ENTERED THE WRONG DATA ON THE REVERSER LOCK FLIGHT CYCLES LIFE LIMIT AND WHEN DISCOVERED ISSUED A WORK ORDER FOR REPLACEMENT. THE REPORTER WORKS AS A MAINTENANCE PLANNER AND IS HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING REQUIRED TIME LIMITED MAINTENANCE ITEMS TO ENSURE THEY ARE REPLACED BEFORE FLIGHT CYCLES EXPIRE.
