Narrative:
On landing; aircraft ballooned. Pilot attempted recovery by leveling; then finished landing. Then nosewheel broke and failed with nose dropping to ground. Aircraft was evacuate/evacuationed with no injuries. Airport is dirt and grass. 1 safety item: during evacuate/evacuation; pilot had difficulty exiting until he noticed the headset cord was clipped to shirt; holding him in. Suggestion: do not clip cords to clothes.

Title: SINGLE ENG GA PLT HAS NOSEWHEEL COLLAPSE DURING LNDG.
Narrative: ON LNDG; ACFT BALLOONED. PLT ATTEMPTED RECOVERY BY LEVELING; THEN FINISHED LNDG. THEN NOSEWHEEL BROKE AND FAILED WITH NOSE DROPPING TO GND. ACFT WAS EVACED WITH NO INJURIES. ARPT IS DIRT AND GRASS. 1 SAFETY ITEM: DURING EVAC; PLT HAD DIFFICULTY EXITING UNTIL HE NOTICED THE HEADSET CORD WAS CLIPPED TO SHIRT; HOLDING HIM IN. SUGGESTION: DO NOT CLIP CORDS TO CLOTHES.
