Narrative:

We have a problem with our procedures on correctly identing seats being sent to the seat shop for overhaul; on MD80 and B757. The seats show up with wrong paperwork or no paperwork at all. We have contacted the docks to be aware of the problem at missing or incorrect paperwork. The seats sometimes are improperly labeled or label unreadable on MD80. On the B757 we have no seat matrix to determine the proper part from the original technician standard order tag.
