Narrative:
Aircraft depressurized at FL220. Non explosive system failure. No definitive system failure noted in climb. At FL270; cabin light/horn came on. Started the emergency descent. ATC was notified of the emergency. By declaring the emergency; ATC stepped us down. We restated emergency aircraft identify -- they still stepped us down to 10000 ft. ATC very unwilling to assist in letting us down after declaring the emergency. It was a step descent.

Narrative: ACFT DEPRESSURIZED AT FL220. NON EXPLOSIVE SYS FAILURE. NO DEFINITIVE SYS FAILURE NOTED IN CLB. AT FL270; CABIN LIGHT/HORN CAME ON. STARTED THE EMER DSCNT. ATC WAS NOTIFIED OF THE EMER. BY DECLARING THE EMER; ATC STEPPED US DOWN. WE RESTATED EMER ACFT IDENT -- THEY STILL STEPPED US DOWN TO 10000 FT. ATC VERY UNWILLING TO ASSIST IN LETTING US DOWN AFTER DECLARING THE EMER.
