Narrative:
Indicated air bill; compressed gas; not otherwise specified (methane); class 2.2; UN1956; 1 package 5 kilograms; and another air bill; same description; 15 kilograms. Fmi 13.3.8; a.10 forbids the carriage of liquefied flammable gas. I was unsure as to the exact nature of the gas; but assumed that methane was flammable; so I called cargo operations; who could not further enlighten me on the nature of the cargo; but said that it should be removed. Cargo subsequently pulled the entire pallet; and we took a 25 min delay. Was this a legal cargo?

Title: B777 FLT CREW REJECTS HAZMAT CARGO DUE TO POSSIBILITY IT MIGHT BE FLAMMABLE; LIQUEFIED COMPRESSED GAS WHICH IS NOT LEGAL FOR TRANSPORT.
Narrative: INDICATED AIR BILL; COMPRESSED GAS; NOT OTHERWISE SPECIFIED (METHANE); CLASS 2.2; UN1956; 1 PACKAGE 5 KILOGRAMS; AND ANOTHER AIR BILL; SAME DESCRIPTION; 15 KILOGRAMS. FMI 13.3.8; A.10 FORBIDS THE CARRIAGE OF LIQUEFIED FLAMMABLE GAS. I WAS UNSURE AS TO THE EXACT NATURE OF THE GAS; BUT ASSUMED THAT METHANE WAS FLAMMABLE; SO I CALLED CARGO OPS; WHO COULD NOT FURTHER ENLIGHTEN ME ON THE NATURE OF THE CARGO; BUT SAID THAT IT SHOULD BE REMOVED. CARGO SUBSEQUENTLY PULLED THE ENTIRE PALLET; AND WE TOOK A 25 MIN DELAY. WAS THIS A LEGAL CARGO?
