Narrative:

During the initial climb out; at approximately 1000 ft AGL; an uncommanded retardation of the right throttle occurred. It was first perceived as an engine failure and an emergency was declared and a request was made for an immediate return to the airport. Climb was continued to 2000 ft AGL and leveled off. Upon further investigation; it was discovered that the throttle was at flight idle; the throttle was in manual mode and the engine indications were normal for a flight idle condition. No ECAM alerts were indicated. The throttles were rejoined and engine responded normally. Later the autothrottles were engaged and also operated normally. Upon conversation between the captain and maintenance control; it was decided that the flight was safe to continuer and the maintenance problem would be addressed at ZZZ. Dispatch concurred with the captain and the decision was made to continue. Dispatch also stated that it was legal to 'un-declare' an emergency. The flight proceeded without any further incident. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that this aircraft's automatic-stow reverser system had been worked on just prior to this flight. His air carrier maintenance suspect that a momentary reverse stow command was generated because engine operation continued normally to their destination. Because he was not looking directly at the engine as climb thrust was selected; he could not say if there was a momentary automatic reverse stow annunciation. Since the engine was operating normally with increased thrust; the decision was made to continue the flight to its original destination.

Title: AN A300-600 THROTTLE MADE AN UNCOMMANDED RETARDATION TO IDLE PWR AS CLB THRUST WAS SELECTED AFTER TKOF.

UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION; IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE THROTTLE WAS AT FLT IDLE; THE THROTTLE WAS IN MANUAL MODE AND THE ENG INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL FOR A FLT IDLE CONDITION. NO ECAM ALERTS WERE INDICATED. THE THROTTLES WERE REJOINED AND ENG RESPONDED NORMALLY. LATER THE AUTOTHROTTLES WERE ENGAGED AND ALSO OPERATED NORMALLY. UPON CONVERSATION BTWN THE CAPT AND MAINT CTL; IT WAS DECIDED THAT THE FLT WAS SAFE TO CONTINUER AND THE MAINT PROB WOULD BE ADDRESSED AT ZZZ. DISPATCH CONCURRED WITH THE CAPT AND THE DECISION WAS MADE TO CONTINUE. DISPATCH ALSO STATED THAT IT WAS LEGAL TO 'UN-DECLARE' AN EMER. THE FLT PROCEEDED WITHOUT ANY FURTHER INCIDENT. HIS ACR MAINT SUSPECT THAT A MOMENTARY REVERSE STOW COMMAND WAS GENERATED BECAUSE ENG OP CONTINUED NORMALLY TO THEIR DEST. BECAUSE HE WAS NOT LOOKING DIRECTLY AT THE ENG AS CLB THRUST WAS SELECTED; HE COULD NOT SAY IF THERE WAS A MOMENTARY AUTO REVERSE STOW ANNUNCIATION. SINCE THE ENG WAS OPERATING NORMALLY WITH INCREASED THRUST; THE DECISION WAS MADE TO CONTINUE THE FLT TO ITS ORIGINAL DEST.
