Narrative:
I issued a descent to MD80 to FL260. B737 turned in the hold and conflict activated. I told MD80 to stop his descent. I told the supervisor I might have lost separation. The area manager investigated and sent me back to work. I was informed on jan/fri/06 that a loss of separation occurred.

Title: ZLA EXPERIENCED OPERROR AT FL320 WHEN ISSUING DSCNT CLRNC THAT CONFLICTED WITH TFC IN THE HOLDING PATTERN.
Narrative: I ISSUED A DSCNT TO MD80 TO FL260. B737 TURNED IN THE HOLD AND CONFLICT ACTIVATED. I TOLD MD80 TO STOP HIS DSCNT. I TOLD THE SUPVR I MIGHT HAVE LOST SEPARATION. THE AREA MGR INVESTIGATED AND SENT ME BACK TO WORK. I WAS INFORMED ON JAN/FRI/06 THAT A LOSS OF SEPARATION OCCURRED.
