Narrative:

On jan/xa/06; ZFW ARTCC executed a scheduled host/uret computer shutdown. Since ZFW has adaptation to not print high altitude flight progress strips during normal operations; this feature should be 'turned off' for a period of time prior to a shutdown to provide flight plan information (via flight progress strips) to sectors with traffic. Flight plan information was not printed prior to the shutdown on jan/xa/06; leaving active sectors with no recorded flight plan information. Each aircraft in ZFW airspace had to be queried in order to record flight plan and clearance information.
