Narrative:

This incident occurred on an IFR flight plan to dfw. The routing ended with glen rose 8 arrival STAR to dfw; entire flight was uneventful and flown coupled in LNAV. We had tentatively set up for runway 13R in the FMS. Near hirst intersection on the arrival; we were assigned runway 18R. Approach plates were shuffled from STAR to ILS runway 18R in order to verify correct ILS runway 18R input. After this verification; approach plates were again shuffled to bring the glen rose 8 STAR back in view. However; this time the glen rose 8 arrival on page 80-2C was inadvertently picked. The chart fold obscured the tiny note 1 at top which lead to a note in the body of the text below stating that 80-2C was only for addison or collin county airports rather than for dfw. The proper chart for dfw was the glen rose 8 arrival shown on page 60-2D. Neither one of us had any idea that the glen rose 8 arrival was shown on two different pages. Both are essentially identical until the final phase after delmo intersection. I corrected the FMS arrival page to conform with 80-2C by inputting fuz and hurbs. When the aircraft turned towards hurbs after fuz; we were given an immediate turn to 350 degrees and then 310 degrees by approach. These turns were executed immediately as requested. Nothing more was said and we were not advised of any conflicts or loss of separation by approach. We were then cleared for approach to runway 18R. Pilots who transit dfw are doubtless aware of the ambiguity between 60-2D and 80-2C for the same glen rose 8 STAR. However; for those of us who are only occasional users of dfw; the 80-2C chart should state more prominently that this is not used for dfw. This is definitely a 'set-up' and should be corrected to prevent a potentially disastrous situation. We had absolutely no suspicion of our error until careful post flight scrutiny of the situation.

Title: AN HS800XP PLT NOTES THAT DFW JEN.JEN8 CHARTS 80-2C AND 60-2D ARE NEARLY IDENTICAL BUT SERVE DIFFERENT ARPTS. THIS CAUSED CONFUSION AND CONTRIBUTED TO A TRACK DEVIATION.

HOWEVER; THIS TIME THE GLEN ROSE 8 ARR ON PAGE 80-2C WAS INADVERTENTLY PICKED. THE CHART FOLD OBSCURED THE TINY NOTE 1 AT TOP WHICH LEAD TO A NOTE IN THE BODY OF THE TEXT BELOW STATING THAT 80-2C WAS ONLY FOR ADDISON OR COLLIN COUNTY ARPTS RATHER THAN FOR DFW. THE PROPER CHART FOR DFW WAS THE GLEN ROSE 8 ARR SHOWN ON PAGE 60-2D. NEITHER ONE OF US HAD ANY IDEA THAT THE GLEN ROSE 8 ARR WAS SHOWN ON TWO DIFFERENT PAGES. BOTH ARE ESSENTIALLY IDENTICAL UNTIL THE FINAL PHASE AFTER DELMO INTXN. I CORRECTED THE FMS ARR PAGE TO CONFORM WITH 80-2C BY INPUTTING FUZ AND HURBS. WHEN THE ACFT TURNED TOWARDS HURBS AFTER FUZ; WE WERE GIVEN AN IMMEDIATE TURN TO 350 DEGS AND THEN 310 DEGS BY APCH. THESE TURNS WERE EXECUTED IMMEDIATELY AS REQUESTED. NOTHING MORE WAS SAID AND WE WERE NOT ADVISED OF ANY CONFLICTS OR LOSS OF SEPARATION BY APCH. WE WERE THEN CLRED FOR APCH TO RWY 18R. PLTS WHO TRANSIT DFW ARE DOUBTLESS AWARE OF THE AMBIGUITY BETWEEN 60-2D AND 80-2C FOR THE SAME GLEN ROSE 8 STAR. HOWEVER; FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE ONLY OCCASIONAL USERS OF DFW; THE 80-2C CHART SHOULD STATE MORE PROMINENTLY THAT THIS IS NOT USED FOR DFW. THIS IS DEFINITELY A 'SET-UP' AND SHOULD BE CORRECTED TO PREVENT A POTENTIALLY DISASTROUS SITUATION. WE HAD ABSOLUTELY NO SUSPICION OF OUR ERROR UNTIL CAREFUL POST FLT SCRUTINY OF THE SITUATION.
