Narrative:

We landed on runway 27 and taxied off to the right onto taxiway sf. Myself and the captain had our taxi charts out. Tower told us to taxi on taxiway sf and hold short of taxiway sd; and then contact ground control. I called ground control and there was no response. The captain instructed me to contact ground again and let them know that we were on taxiway sf and holding short of taxiway sd. I did; and ground told us to taxi straight ahead on taxiway sf; then right onto taxiway nb to the ramp. The captain and I both saw a B737 up ahead about 100 yards to our left. The B737 was inside the double yellow lines and at that time we felt he was clear of our path. We started down taxiway sf and had impact short of the bridge. Supplemental information from acn 680986: I felt our aircraft veer nosewheel left as I recall and a jerk of the aircraft/nosewheel. We had obviously struck the other aircraft. I still believe -- almost know -- the other aircraft was clear of the edge line area; but he obviously was not clear enough.

Title: B767 STRIKES B737 WHILE TAXIING IN CONGESTED RAMP AREA.

Narrative: WE LANDED ON RWY 27 AND TAXIED OFF TO THE R ONTO TXWY SF. MYSELF AND THE CAPT HAD OUR TAXI CHARTS OUT. TWR TOLD US TO TAXI ON TXWY SF AND HOLD SHORT OF TXWY SD; AND THEN CONTACT GND CTL. I CALLED GND CTL AND THERE WAS NO RESPONSE. THE CAPT INSTRUCTED ME TO CONTACT GND AGAIN AND LET THEM KNOW THAT WE WERE ON TXWY SF AND HOLDING SHORT OF TXWY SD. I DID; AND GND TOLD US TO TAXI STRAIGHT AHEAD ON TXWY SF; THEN R ONTO TXWY NB TO THE RAMP. THE CAPT AND I BOTH SAW A B737 UP AHEAD ABOUT 100 YARDS TO OUR L. THE B737 WAS INSIDE THE DOUBLE YELLOW LINES AND AT THAT TIME WE FELT HE WAS CLR OF OUR PATH. WE STARTED DOWN TXWY SF AND HAD IMPACT SHORT OF THE BRIDGE. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 680986: I FELT OUR ACFT VEER NOSEWHEEL L AS I RECALL AND A JERK OF THE ACFT/NOSEWHEEL. WE HAD OBVIOUSLY STRUCK THE OTHER ACFT. I STILL BELIEVE -- ALMOST KNOW -- THE OTHER ACFT WAS CLR OF THE EDGE LINE AREA; BUT HE OBVIOUSLY WAS NOT CLR ENOUGH.
