Narrative:

During release of aircraft; overwater approval stamp was in question. Contacted the maintenance operations department which said the stamp was not required due to routing to ZZZ and that they were aware and would monitor if anything changed. Comment was made that stamp out of ZZZ requirements are met due to our location. Stamp is meant for coastal cities. After discussing it with all supervisors; the stamp will be inserted into all pylon modified aircraft.
