Narrative:
Local management will not allow maintenance work cards/eco's to be taken to the aircraft to use to accomplish maintenance. They require all paperwork to remain in the logbook/work pack area. Only maintenance work cards/eco's that are water marked 'reference only' that are printed from the company manuals web site may be taken to the aircraft to accomplish maintenance. Discussed the problem with management. They will not allow the maintenance work cards/eco's from the work pack to be taken to the aircraft to perform maintenance. The unavailability of the most accurate versions of the maintenance work cards/eco's while performing maintenance can cause revision mismatch; missed steps and improper maintenance due to using reference only copies of material.
