Narrative:

I was assigned to an engine change on a B737-700 aircraft with 3 other guys that had never performed this task before. During installation; a hydraulic line for the case drain was overlooked. It was tucked under a filter housing. It was overlooked by the mechanics and inspection and no indication was found on engine leak check or engine run-up. The aircraft was released and returned with a flickering low pressure light. The line found the hydraulic line disconnected and reconnected it. A new hydraulic pump was installed due to overtemp. I signed off work that I had not completed.
