Narrative:

An inexperienced crew was assigned a 'drop in' engine change from the line. No one had performed a -700 engine change before. On installation of new engine; the hydraulic case drain line was not installed. The line was tucked under the filter housing and was not easily visible. This was overlooked by myself and others; and no indication was found on engine run-up. The aircraft was released and returned from taxi out with a flickering low pressure light. The line was found disconnected. It was reconnected; and a new hydraulic pump was installed due to overtemp.
