Narrative:

In cruise FL360; heard a loud pop and saw captain forward windscreen crazed and cracked. Started immediate descent with ATC clearance to FL200. Deployed cockpit oxygen masks; put on shoulder harness and lowered seats. Consulted flight manual and followed cracked windscreen procedure. Notified dispatch and maintenance controller. After consulting with them; felt it was safe to continue to destination at FL200. Kept passenger seated and briefed flight attendant about the situation and probable normal landing. ATC was helpful with lower airspeed and routing to destination. Flight concluded normally at destination.
