Narrative:
An E120 was ahead of and lower than air carrier Y. I saw the overtake and started E120 down (took away his discretion descent). E120 went down slow and I failed to see the conflict in time to save the deal. Issues include jets descending faster than propellers; mixed traffic on same arrival; propellers at jet altitudes.
