Narrative:
On mar/tue/05; I was called to aircraft X; trip X; to ZZZ for a left reverser iso valve status message. When arriving to the aircraft; the item was not entered in the logbook. I asked captain to please enter the discrepancy into the logbook; which he did. While on the phone with technical services and my lead technician for the proper fault isolation manual procedures; captain approached me in a hostile; threatening and intimidating manner; accusing me of purposely trying to delay the flight. He then informed me that he had and cleared the status message himself from the EICAS page. Captain accomplished unauthorized maintenance; therefore; I was unable to properly troubleshoot the maintenance problem per the fault isolation manual. I tried to duplicate the discrepancy by running the left engine and operated the left thrust reverser with no faults; noted; see item #49 in logbook.
