Narrative:

While completing predep check on DC9-30 main cabin entrance MEL. The flight crew observed the inner door liner appeared to be misaligned. Upon visual inspection; door appeared to open/close normally; and fair with fuselage also. Although the log page does not adequately address the crew's concerns; orally they conveyed that the liner was their concern. As this is primarily a cosmetic item; it did not give me any concern. Upon further review of aircraft history; it was determined that the door may be improperly rigged; therefore causing the original door indication discrepancy. Aircraft X; air carrier X pt #xy.
