Narrative:
Aircraft at FL290 wbound waiting for FL310 (traffic). Additional aircraft atl arrival deviating for WX at FL290 coming from ZME. Coordination accomplished to separate aircraft. The inbound aircraft from ZME did not check on frequency in timely manner. Other aircraft was turned. When inbound checked on, he was turned and descended. Separation lost closest proximity 3.4 mi, 500 ft.

Narrative: ACFT AT FL290 WBOUND WAITING FOR FL310 (TFC). ADDITIONAL ACFT ATL ARR DEVIATING FOR WX AT FL290 COMING FROM ZME. COORD ACCOMPLISHED TO SEPARATE ACFT. THE INBOUND ACFT FROM ZME DID NOT CHK ON FREQ IN TIMELY MANNER. OTHER ACFT WAS TURNED. WHEN INBOUND CHKED ON, HE WAS TURNED AND DSNDED. SEPARATION LOST CLOSEST PROX 3.4 MI, 500 FT.
