Narrative:

I was en route to pbi and experienced a pressurization anomaly and landed at pfn. 5 passenger, designated far 135 flight. The flight was assigned to another aircraft. We were to pick up the passenger at pfn and fly them the remainder of the trip to pbi. I advised the company and the assistant chief pilot that I did not meet the far part 135 designated rest requirements. The company was previously aware of this and redesignated the flight as a part 91 flight. When I questioned how they could do this, I was told that this was acceptable if the customer was only charged the part 91 rate. I questioned the legality of this but was told that the 'manager' was not giving me an alternative. I guess I violated far's out of fear of management reprisals.

WHEN I QUESTIONED HOW THEY COULD DO THIS, I WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS ACCEPTABLE IF THE CUSTOMER WAS ONLY CHARGED THE PART 91 RATE. I QUESTIONED THE LEGALITY OF THIS BUT WAS TOLD THAT THE 'MGR' WAS NOT GIVING ME AN ALTERNATIVE. I GUESS I VIOLATED FAR'S OUT OF FEAR OF MGMNT REPRISALS.
