Narrative:

Climbing through 10000 ft, we received lavatory smoke warning. Ran lavatory smoke checklist. Flight attendant checked lavatory as per checklist and advised us of an odor and haze in cabin, verified with deadhead pilot, who was traveling to work and agreed to odor. This is when we declared an emergency and treated as cabin fumes and returned to airport with no incident.
