Narrative:

3 male passenger boarded the flight and took 1ST class seats. When asked to move to their assigned seats, they complied. Beginning with the safety demonstration, at least one of them began making comments. Harmless comments, yet annoying. They were looking for laughs basically. In-flight they continued to behave in a disruptive manner. One of them used the 1ST class lavatory, leaving the floor covered with urine. They were trying to pick a fight with another passenger that they seemed to know. He was seated 8-10 rows ahead so that they would shout over these rows to him. It became apparent, in-flight, that 1 of the 3 was drunk. They had attended a baseball game that afternoon, so it is probable they had all been drinking at some point that day. I did not feel physically threatened. Yet, I felt intimidated and that I had no control over these men. Their constant disruptive behavior could have distraction the flight attendants from a more serious threat on board, or from a medical emergency. These men need to know the seriousness of their behavior. They had absolutely no respect for the flight attendants. We should have looked at these three more closely during boarding. However, there were a number of passenger coming from the ballgame and a number of them were overly excited. Everyone else managed to calm down in flight.

Title: AN MD80 FLT ATTENDANT NOTICED 3 DISRUPTIVE PAX DURING BOARDING FOR A FLT FROM STL TO ORD, AND YET SHE ALLOWED THEM TO REMAIN AND CAUSE TROUBLE FOR THE DURATION.

Narrative: 3 MALE PAX BOARDED THE FLT AND TOOK 1ST CLASS SEATS. INFLT THEY CONTINUED TO BEHAVE IN A DISRUPTIVE MANNER. ONE OF THEM USED THE 1ST CLASS LAVATORY, LEAVING THE FLOOR COVERED WITH URINE. THEY WERE TRYING TO PICK A FIGHT WITH ANOTHER PAX THAT THEY SEEMED TO KNOW. HE WAS SEATED 8-10 ROWS AHEAD SO THAT THEY WOULD SHOUT OVER THESE ROWS TO HIM. IT BECAME APPARENT, INFLT, THAT 1 OF THE 3 WAS DRUNK. THEY HAD ATTENDED A BASEBALL GAME THAT AFTERNOON, SO IT IS PROBABLE THEY HAD ALL BEEN DRINKING AT SOME POINT THAT DAY. I DID NOT FEEL PHYSICALLY THREATENED. YET, I FELT INTIMIDATED AND THAT I HAD NO CTL OVER THESE MEN. THEIR CONSTANT DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR COULD HAVE DISTR THE FLT ATTENDANTS FROM A MORE SERIOUS THREAT ON BOARD, OR FROM A MEDICAL EMER. THESE MEN NEED TO KNOW THE SERIOUSNESS OF THEIR BEHAVIOR. THEY HAD ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR THE FLT ATTENDANTS. WE SHOULD HAVE LOOKED AT THESE THREE MORE CLOSELY DURING BOARDING. HOWEVER, THERE WERE A NUMBER OF PAX COMING FROM THE BALLGAME AND A NUMBER OF THEM WERE OVERLY EXCITED. EVERYONE ELSE MANAGED TO CALM DOWN IN FLT.
