Narrative:

During flight, I smelled smoke from a cigarette. I immediately went to the aft l-hand lavatory, where passenger came out of. I asked him where he put the cigarette. He was intoxicated and taking prescription drugs. He told me he put the cigarette in the toilet. I then proceeded to get his name and what information I could get from him as it was hard to understand him. He also claimed that he did not have a driver's license. He gave me his passport. I took his cigarettes and matches away from him and told him to take his seat. I notified the captain and filled out the passenger in-flight disturbance report.
