Narrative:

First officer advised me of taxi instructions: 'taxi to runway 8 via txwys F and C.' I followed the taxi route and this lead to cross runway 12/30. Ground control advised correct taxi instructions were 'taxi to runway 8 via txwys F and G.' there was no aircraft operating on runway 12/30 at the time. Supplemental information from acn 624343: on jul/fri/04, at approximately XA30 local time, I arrived in on a charter flight to abq on a planned fuel stop to continue on to our destination of sts. After refueling, I called for an IFR clearance and to request taxi instructions. As the PNF, first officer, I was told the clearance was on request and instructed to taxi via txwys C and G to the active runway. We started out on taxiway C and ground told me clearance was available. I told the PF, captain, that I was leaving ground control frequency to pick up the clearance. The captain took the airport diagram and told me he would monitor ground frequency and run the taxi checklist. I contacted clearance and started to copy the IFR clearance. The first officer continued the taxi checklist. When I finished I looked up to realize we had taxied too far on taxiway C missing the dogleg turn onto taxiway G and had crossed a runway (thankfully inactive at the time). By this time, ground control realized our mistake and directed us to the proper runway. We took off from this runway and completed the remainder of our flight without incident. In retrospect, my unfamiliarity with this airport and my leaving the ground frequency were major contributing factors to this unfortunate occurrence. Additionally, both of us were distraction by our cockpit duties and failed to note the turn on to the proper taxiway. In future operations, I will wait until reaching the runway before attending to other duties in order to focus more fully on monitoring the immediate situation.

Title: C560 CREW HAD A RWY INCURSION AT ABQ.

Narrative: FO ADVISED ME OF TAXI INSTRUCTIONS: 'TAXI TO RWY 8 VIA TXWYS F AND C.' I FOLLOWED THE TAXI RTE AND THIS LEAD TO CROSS RWY 12/30. GND CTL ADVISED CORRECT TAXI INSTRUCTIONS WERE 'TAXI TO RWY 8 VIA TXWYS F AND G.' THERE WAS NO ACFT OPERATING ON RWY 12/30 AT THE TIME. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 624343: ON JUL/FRI/04, AT APPROX XA30 LCL TIME, I ARRIVED IN ON A CHARTER FLT TO ABQ ON A PLANNED FUEL STOP TO CONTINUE ON TO OUR DEST OF STS. AFTER REFUELING, I CALLED FOR AN IFR CLRNC AND TO REQUEST TAXI INSTRUCTIONS. AS THE PNF, FO, I WAS TOLD THE CLRNC WAS ON REQUEST AND INSTRUCTED TO TAXI VIA TXWYS C AND G TO THE ACTIVE RWY. WE STARTED OUT ON TXWY C AND GND TOLD ME CLRNC WAS AVAILABLE. I TOLD THE PF, CAPT, THAT I WAS LEAVING GND CTL FREQ TO PICK UP THE CLRNC. THE CAPT TOOK THE ARPT DIAGRAM AND TOLD ME HE WOULD MONITOR GND FREQ AND RUN THE TAXI CHKLIST. I CONTACTED CLRNC AND STARTED TO COPY THE IFR CLRNC. THE FO CONTINUED THE TAXI CHKLIST. WHEN I FINISHED I LOOKED UP TO REALIZE WE HAD TAXIED TOO FAR ON TXWY C MISSING THE DOGLEG TURN ONTO TXWY G AND HAD CROSSED A RWY (THANKFULLY INACTIVE AT THE TIME). BY THIS TIME, GND CTL REALIZED OUR MISTAKE AND DIRECTED US TO THE PROPER RWY. WE TOOK OFF FROM THIS RWY AND COMPLETED THE REMAINDER OF OUR FLT WITHOUT INCIDENT. IN RETROSPECT, MY UNFAMILIARITY WITH THIS ARPT AND MY LEAVING THE GND FREQ WERE MAJOR CONTRIBUTING FACTORS TO THIS UNFORTUNATE OCCURRENCE. ADDITIONALLY, BOTH OF US WERE DISTR BY OUR COCKPIT DUTIES AND FAILED TO NOTE THE TURN ON TO THE PROPER TXWY. IN FUTURE OPS, I WILL WAIT UNTIL REACHING THE RWY BEFORE ATTENDING TO OTHER DUTIES IN ORDER TO FOCUS MORE FULLY ON MONITORING THE IMMEDIATE SIT.
