Narrative:

Ground control cleared me to 'taxi to runway 32' (for VFR departure). I consulted the airport diagram and taxied toward runway 32, but I was confused at end of runway 32, and by diagram (stranger to the area) and taxied across end of runway 23 (active) on down the taxiway. I continued thinking I wasn't there yet. Controller was courteous and advised I make 180 degree turn and return to runway 32. I immediately realized my error, thanked ground controller for courtesy and apologized and complied. I did realize I was crossing a runway and I looked for traffic, but I didn't think it was my destination runway.
