Narrative:
On vector to runway 25L, told to descend to 8000 ft and turn to heading 170 degrees. Selected flight level change and heading select. I called 'approaching 8000 ft,' aircraft failed to level off. I disconnected the autoplt and arrested descent at approximately 7800 ft. All 4 pilots in the cockpit witnessed event and have no explanation.
