Narrative:

Night VFR, cleared for VOR DME runway 19 approach to mggt. Landing runway changed from the expected and briefed runway 1 to VOR DME runway 19. Placed the aircraft high and fast. Vertical navigation deselected opting for flight level change, vertical mode with drag applied to meet the new criteria while the new runway briefed and inserted into the FMC. The inbound course was intercepted while still descending, but we failed to reengage the VNAV path which led to a greater than anticipated rate of descent, causing a momentary (less than one second) incomplete terrain warning. Go around was initiated, however, the warning was arrested immediately and the approach continued since we were in visual conditions and in sight of the runway. Supplemental information from can 622249: I started to go around and the warning stopped. The captain had the runway in sight so told me to continue the approach.

Title: FLT CREW OF B757 DSNDING INTO MGGT FAIL TO ARREST DSCNT AND RECEIVE GPWS TERRAIN WARNING. RECOVER IN VMC TO COMPLETE APCH.

Narrative: NIGHT VFR, CLRED FOR VOR DME RWY 19 APCH TO MGGT. LNDG RWY CHANGED FROM THE EXPECTED AND BRIEFED RWY 1 TO VOR DME RWY 19. PLACED THE ACFT HIGH AND FAST. VERT NAV DESELECTED OPTING FOR FLT LEVEL CHANGE, VERT MODE WITH DRAG APPLIED TO MEET THE NEW CRITERIA WHILE THE NEW RWY BRIEFED AND INSERTED INTO THE FMC. THE INBOUND COURSE WAS INTERCEPTED WHILE STILL DSNDING, BUT WE FAILED TO REENGAGE THE VNAV PATH WHICH LED TO A GREATER THAN ANTICIPATED RATE OF DSCNT, CAUSING A MOMENTARY (LESS THAN ONE SECOND) INCOMPLETE TERRAIN WARNING. GAR WAS INITIATED, HOWEVER, THE WARNING WAS ARRESTED IMMEDIATELY AND THE APCH CONTINUED SINCE WE WERE IN VISUAL CONDITIONS AND IN SIGHT OF THE RWY. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM CAN 622249: I STARTED TO GO AROUND AND THE WARNING STOPPED. THE CAPT HAD THE RWY IN SIGHT SO TOLD ME TO CONTINUE THE APCH.
