Narrative:

On approach, the flaps would not extend beyond position #1. A go around was requested and initiated with tower. The appropriate checklist was accomplished, emergency equipment response was requested by the captain and coordinated with dispatch. Maintenance was also in the loop and agreed that a 1 degree flap landing should be made. An uneventful landing was made, the fire department checked the brakes to make sure they were not hot and the captain taxied to the gate. There were no injuries.
