Air carrier X and air carrier Y both handed off to ZNY, heading toward departure fixes 4 mi apart. Air carrier Y was switched to ZNY (frequency). Remained in communication with air carrier Y. Air carrier X turned toward air carrier Y. I turned air carrier Y and called traffic. I then called ZNY who stated the pilot turned on his own and they were climbing him.
