Approaching the gate at mdw, there was contact between the aircraft's left wing and a baggage cart. Marshaller did not give any signal to 'stop' prior to contact. Aml entry was made. Ramp agent took responsibility by admitting that she had not seen any stop signal by the marshaller. Supplemental information from acn 616045: the guide men said she never saw the stop sign given by the left wing men due to the bright sun.

Title: EMJ CREW WAS MARSHALLER INTO A BAGGAGE CART WHILE PARKING AT THE GATE.

Narrative: APCHING THE GATE AT MDW, THERE WAS CONTACT BTWN THE ACFT'S L WING AND A BAGGAGE CART. MARSHALLER DID NOT GIVE ANY SIGNAL TO 'STOP' PRIOR TO CONTACT. AML ENTRY WAS MADE. RAMP AGENT TOOK RESPONSIBILITY BY ADMITTING THAT SHE HAD NOT SEEN ANY STOP SIGNAL BY THE MARSHALLER. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 616045: THE GUIDE MEN SAID SHE NEVER SAW THE STOP SIGN GIVEN BY THE L WING MEN DUE TO THE BRIGHT SUN.
