Narrative:

A flying buddy of mine needed to renew his flight instructor certificate and elected to do an in-flight examination with a local designated pilot examiner. As part of the usual process, the dpe did a deep inspection of the aircraft logbooks and found that there were several airworthiness directives that went uncomplied with when I flew my aircraft beyond 100 hours after annual. (Worse, since I have been averaging an even 155-60 hours a yr, I have been doing this since I bought the plane in 1999.) flying buddy called me, and while I called mr X (the mooney guru) in ZZZ1, he contacted the local FAA FSDO for a ferry permit. We got an a&P mechanic from my local field just up the road from ZZZ. He signed the aircraft off as airworthy for the flight. Before close of business the same day, my mooney was in the X hangars. Full compliance was accomplished the following day.
