Narrative:

The NOTAMS for sju reflected the fact that the threshold on runway 26 was displaced 1000 ft. In actuality the eastern 1000 ft of runway 8-26 was closed. Despite repeated requests through personnel in sju, the sju airport authority has yet to correct the NOTAM. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter reinforced the necessity of complete and correct runway data for planning and operations. If the length of runway 08 is compromised by the activity that has necessitated the displaced threshold for runway 26 approachs, users must know that and adjust their takeoff weight and balance computations appropriately.

Title: DISPATCHER FOR MAJOR ACR ADVISES THAT NOTAM REGARDING DISPLACED THRESHOLD FOR RWY 26 AT SJU SHOULD BE REVISED TO INDICATE THE EAST 1000 FT OF 8-26 IS CLOSED, THUS REDUCED RWY LENGHT FOR TKOFS AND LNDGS ON RWY 08.

Narrative: THE NOTAMS FOR SJU REFLECTED THE FACT THAT THE THRESHOLD ON RWY 26 WAS DISPLACED 1000 FT. IN ACTUALITY THE EASTERN 1000 FT OF RWY 8-26 WAS CLOSED. DESPITE REPEATED REQUESTS THROUGH PERSONNEL IN SJU, THE SJU ARPT AUTHORITY HAS YET TO CORRECT THE NOTAM. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR REINFORCED THE NECESSITY OF COMPLETE AND CORRECT RWY DATA FOR PLANNING AND OPERATIONS. IF THE LENGTH OF RWY 08 IS COMPROMISED BY THE ACTIVITY THAT HAS NECESSITATED THE DISPLACED THRESHOLD FOR RWY 26 APCHS, USERS MUST KNOW THAT AND ADJUST THEIR TKOF WEIGHT AND BALANCE COMPUTATIONS APPROPRIATELY.
